In contrast, what lies ahead of you very much does not. A maze of walls, lights, and dreadful, horrible sounds stretches before you. You can't see far, the twisting walls blocking your vision, but you can guess it goes on forever. And yet... A force of tremendous power throbs. You think something's out there, in the maze. The residents of this place don't seem to care though. Shadowy, transparent figures like those in the audience drift aimlessly. Some notice the theatre and wander towards it, but others just stand still. They're giving one thing a wide berth, though - a hole in the ground, the only other exit to this place. A sign above it points down to a village, named... PURGATORY. Or, if you were sane, you'd head back into the THEATRE. ...if you were crazy, however, and wanted that power, you'd head DEEPER. You have no idea what it's doing out here, but it seems to be leaking power into the environment, warping parts of the maze. Safe. ...Well, it would if not for the stream of blood pouring out of it. In contrast, what lies ahead of you very much does not. A maze of walls, lights, and dreadful, horrible sounds stretches before you. You can't see far, the twisting walls blocking your vision, but you can guess it goes on forever. And yet... A force of tremendous power throbs. You think something's out there, in the maze. The residents of this place don't seem to care though. Shadowy, transparent figures like those in the audience drift aimlessly. Some notice the theatre and wander towards it, but others just stand still. Without one of the artifacts powering it, the maze seems to have grown weaker - penetrable. It'll be borderline impossible to do it on your own, though - you might need a miracle, or something just as strong. If you manage, though, you could probably escape this place... -----Phase 7----- MAZE Hours spent wandering the maze has just led you in circles, whilst it twists around you. But the further you get in, the weirder it gets. There's piles of objects that have faded into obscurity, unbroken but never used, covered in a fine layer of dust. Occasionally, the maze takes on the appearance of a place - a small town, city backstreets. Unknown, unloved places. The people wandering here look bored. Mindless. Not even bothering to walk around, just stood still. Without one of the artifacts powering it, the maze seems to have grown weaker - penetrable. It'll be borderline impossible to do it on your own, though - you might need a miracle, or something just as strong. If you manage, though, you could probably escape this place... At the minute, the maze has circled around so that you can still access the main door to the LOBBY, or you can sneak around the back of the theatre to the BACKSTAGE. Alternatively, you can keep going deeper.
